HL 211- In the Matter of Senators Warren, Fetterman and Markwayne Mullin

Last week the Senate’s Homeland Security Committee sent Trump’s nomination of Senator Markwayne Mullin to become Secretary of Homeland Security to the full Senate, replacing Kristi Noem (the heroine of HL 203 “Kristi Noem Won’t Save the Poor Little Girls, Trump Might Replace Her with Henry Darger,” July 14, 2025).

That Committee vote, where Senator John Fetterman cast the decider and again broke ranks with all his Democratic colleagues, was for HL yet additional confirmation that God administers justice with anger and with surgical precision.  In this case toward Senator Elizabeth Warren.

John Fetterman

I remind readers that Fetterman rose from his position as Pennsylvania’s Lieutenant Governor mostly because Representative Conor Lamb, the frontrunner, better credentialed and far more electable Democratic candidate in the 2022 primary, was savaged by Warren during that primary campaign, never recovered and lost to Fetterman.  Warren’s attack in which she termed Rep Lamb “disgusting” and threatened that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee would deprive Lamb of funding, was in response to a Lamb-supporting PAC ad that called Fetterman a “Democratic Socialist.”  Yes, a D.S. like Bernie Sanders, who had endorsed Fetterman’s candidacy in gratitude for Fetterman’s support of Bernie’s presidential campaigns and his support for most of the articles of faith in the D.S. Canon.  But despite all that Fetterman did not carry a D.S. card and so Warren slaughtered the Lamb, the Fetterman was spared and he was elected after having and hiding a massive stroke just before general election day.

After Fetterman was sworn in, and in truth months later after rehabilitation from his stroke and depression for which he was hospitalized, Fetterman returned to the Senate a new man sporting a new uniform from the Champion Outlet.

Markwayne Mullin

The new Fetterman quickly vindicated Senator Warren’s attack, by demonstrating that he was no Democratic Socialist.  He vigorously and vociferously advanced Trump positions and registered votes not only well to Warren’s right but right of Conor Lamb’s votes in the House.

Senator Warren has long been the paradigm for a government official (which I’ve been) and an elected official (never) that you agree with on most policy but that gets little positive done because of the way they go about their business.  Warren often achieves the precise opposite of what she and you both want.  As with Markwayne Mullin, who is an abomination of equal magnitude to Kristi Noem, but whose exchange with Senator Rand Paul during the Homeland Security Committee hearings last week might rank as the worst and most “disgusting” in an era with many Trump contenders for “most disgusting.”

Mike Bloomberg

Remember how Warren took down Michael Bloomberg’s presidential candidacy in just one minute during the February 19, 2020 debate?  We know how that turned out.  And this campaign season Warren is at it again, backing populist candidates in four hotly contested Senate primaries.  The most interesting of these is the Maine primary, where Warren is backing oysterman Graham Platner over Governor Janet Mills, despite Platner’s history of social media commentary that women who have been raped should not have had too much to drink.  And that support in contrast to Warren’s character assassination of Michael Bloomberg over his alleged non-violent sexism.  The commonalities in the candidates Warren is supporting are their populism, their advocacy of positions in the D.S. Canon, and that she is opposing candidates backed by Chuck Schumer, who Warren seeks to replace as Democratic leader.

Good work Senator Warren, better work God.

What an amazing message Lloyd. I am laughing at your incisive words and ways. Always engaging but today you brought “I am who I am” into your words. Perfect. Thanks.

I think of you as Elijah, you troubler of politicians.
